Strictly necessary: "tb_consent" - records your cookie choice itself (whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies), so we don't ask again on every visit. First-party, lasts 180 days, not readable by other sites. Set as soon as you make a choice in the banner or the preference control on this page; without it we cannot remember your choice.

Analytics (only set after you say yes): if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) sets "_ga" and one or more "_ga_<container id>" cookies to distinguish visits. These are not set, and no analytics script is loaded or contacted, until you accept. You can withdraw consent at any time using the control below; doing so immediately tells Google Analytics, using its own documented per-property signal, to stop sending any further data from this browser - this takes effect right away and does not depend on any script or cookie being removed first. This site also attempts, at the same time, to delete the "_ga" and "_ga_<container id>" cookies from this browser on every domain scope it can reach from a webpage. That deletion cannot be guaranteed complete in every case - exactly matching the scope a cookie was originally set on from inside a webpage, without any cookie-jar access beyond what a browser exposes to a page's own script, is not something any website can guarantee - but analytics stops receiving data immediately regardless of whether the cookies themselves are fully cleared.

Vercel Web Analytics: this site can also use Vercel's own page-view analytics. The site's own decision notes (docs/DECISIONS.md §14) describe Vercel Web Analytics as "cookieless", but this implementation has not been able to verify that claim against Vercel's current documentation (no network access in this session). Until it is verified, this site treats it exactly like GA4: nothing loads, and no cookie is set, until you accept analytics cookies. If the cookieless claim is confirmed, this gate can be relaxed to load it always.
